What is home staging?

Home Staging is professionally preparing homes for sale, so they appeal to the most amount of buyers and generate the highest price in the least amount of time. Staging also enhances the appearance of the home with less emphasis on personal needs and utility.

What is occupied home staging?

Occupied home staging is preparing a home for sale by having it show ready for potential buyers while the home is occupied by the homeowner. The homeowner’s own decor and furniture are used and often rearranged to maximize space.

How does staging create a lasting impression on the potential buyer?

Lighting can open up a space and highlight decor. Furniture arrangement can help visualize living space. A good color scheme can determine the mood of the home that will appeal to the buyers. Staging also targets the demographic of potential buyers through design.

What does a consultation consist of?

A consultation consists of a stager coming into a home and evaluating the furniture arrangement, lighting, and style of a home. We talk about what recommendations are needed to prepare a home for sale. We leave the homeowner a general list, as well as one we made together during the walkthrough. As a result, the homeowner will have instructions tailored to their home to get it ready for online marketing.

What is the difference between Staging and Decorating?

This is my most asked question among my clients. Staging is preparing a home for sale in a NON-PERSONAL WAY. Decorating is creating a space for a homeowner that is PERSONAL. In other words, the decor reflects the homeowner’s personality, and likes.
